Art in Bloom

In 1983 the Minneapolis Institute of Art hosted the first Art in Bloom festival. This four-day exhibit is free to the public and displays the imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art, created by more than 100 commercial florists and individual artists.

From the very beginning, members of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter 121 of Ikebana International have proudly participated in this annual spring event, which draws over 52,000 visitors. You won’t want to miss this event, held in the spring; check the MIA calendar for the dates.

A core ikebana aspiration is to create floral art that honors, enhances, and enlivens its setting. Our members are pleased to have the opportunity to share with others the beauty and enjoyment of ikebana arrangements inspired by MIA works of art.
